A fun retail simulation game. You can help customers find products, catch thieves, re-stock shelves, and more. Multiple play modes available.
Have you ever wanted to see what it's like to work in a retail store? Well now you can!
Some screenshots from an early version of the game...
Have a look at an early version of Price Tag.
The store is perfectly to scaled, and was built from the actual blueprints of a local electronics store. Not every shelf is textured (the textures come from photos taken at that same electronics store). The player model was ripped from another game, but re-textured to match the employee uniforms worn at the store. The 3D models for small, detailed objects like cash registers are not yet designed, but the physics engine is fully operational. You can't walk through walls or shelves, but you can open doors and walk through them. The player view changes in enclosed spaces like the break room and the warehouse.
This game was developed to run on the Xbox360, so I had to use some Microsoft proprietary technology. Halfway through the project, I found XNA and started using that instead.
There was an early idea to let the player buy real products with real money...
